Greg, Vehicle Examiner

“The DVSA support a healthy work/ home life balance and have facilitated my working patterns to suit my childcare arrangements…

I am able to workday shifts which enables quality time in the evenings with my family. I also have the option of working from home should my work require. My job is more varied, and I manage my own workload between roadside enforcement, MOT compliance and Operator visits.”

DVSA Vehicle Examiner Christian

Christian, Vehicle Examiner

I really like the variety duties carried out as a Vehicle Examiner.

One day I can be carrying out roadside enforcement checks on HGVs, another day I may be visiting an operator with a fleet of vehicles as part of an investigation by the Traffic Commissioner or following up on roadside encounter at an Operator’s premises.”
