Data Architects at DVSA

One of the chief goals for the data architect is to identify the critical data and information assets relied upon by the business and to document data requirements and data flows across DVSA. They will ensure that the data collected is fit for purpose and accessible through the use of common patterns and standards.

They are responsible for both the creation and then the subsequent maintenance of the current and future data architectures for DVSA and ensuring that all data designs deliver value for money, are robust, perform against specification and are fit for purpose. They are responsible for data design and managing data service provision within DVSA and ensuring that securing the Agency information and data is at the forefront of design.

Becoming a Data Architect

We need to get some more info for this section

Follow this link https://www.gov.uk/guidance/data-architect to find out more info on career progression and what skills are needed at each stage.

Here we would like a short video from a current data architect on what the role is like – we don’t currently have this but are working on getting it.
